Requirement to Display Calendar Days for Absences Configured in Hours

Summary:

We have a business requirement to display absence duration in calendar days during the leave application process, as well as in related notifications (both in-app and email), even though the corresponding absence types are currently configured using the Unit of Measurement (UOM) "Hours" and absence plans configured using Unit of Measure(UOM) "Calendar Days". This configuration was necessary due to limitations in the Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) module, which does not display absences with the "Calendar Days" UOM on the time card.

Despite using "Hours" as the UOM for technical compatibility with OTL, it is essential from a user experience and communication standpoint that employees and approvers can clearly see the calendar day equivalent of each absence request. This is particularly important for employees whose work patterns vary, and for accurate understanding of leave spans across weekends or holidays.

Howdy, Stranger!
