    Security

Security: For my organisation, the ability to hide the seeded folders and reports easily from end users without having to implement custom security is our biggest priority. We don't have all modules in HCM and so a lot of the out of the box dashboards render with some great visualisations and others are blank. We make copies and replace the blanks with our own visualisations and we change the palettes to reflect our organsiation's branding. From an admin perspective we will still use seeded folders and reports.

From an end user perspective, it can be very confusing and frustrating and this is hurting adoption for us.

I can see there has been an idea raised by other customers and has been marked as delivered (Ability to Hide seeded folders — Oracle Analytics) and despite working through the documentation we have found (Configuring Custom Data Security in Fusion Data Intelligence in Nine Steps) we have been able to hide the seeded folders but cannot seem to get data in our custom reports to show for our end users.

Thank you @Amanda Hope. I will pass your message to the adoption team as he might help them too (+ @Claudette Hickey-Oracle ). The idea lab is the main channel to get the features, please vote for ideas or raise new ones as needed. Stay tuned 😊 and thank you for the clear feedback.

Thanks Ben. Always great to give customers the lead to influence product direction.

One thing I have found is the current size limit for map layers is too restrictive to have detailed map layers such as zip codes/postcodes and road networks.

It would be great to have more mapping layers out of the box or connections to open source map layers such as

Hi @Dan_Ryan-Oracle thank you for the suggestion. Please feel free to add an idea in the idea lab. + @Philippe Lions-Oracle.

The one big area which I think is a great potential is actually not the product but the documentation set. That needs a major revamp as I don't think it keeps up with the options available, e.g. at times tick boxes in setup are either not documented or the documentation just references their name and not what they do or the implications.

I think in the SaaS FDI world revisit "cookbook" type solutions to importing and data modelling are needed, presently its just CRM stuff, e.g. easy things and every youtube video going just rinses and repeats that. Its things like bringing in BICC data such as AR data which is not currently there (e.g. customer site and account profile classes as slowly changing dimensions). How to add a new dimension from Fusion ERP into an existing fact. What I'm thinking here is best practice, learn by example stuff that covers ERP and HCM rather than just CRM.

I think we are scratching the surface of functionality mostly because its a journey of discovering what it can do rather than having the available resources to help showcase what it can do.
