Request is for a detailed, base-level member reconciliation to be in-built somewhere between ERP and FDI that would be available after every refresh of ERP data in FDI. This reconciliation would consider source data from ERP compared to data in FDI sourced from ERP. The reconciliation would be available as an out-of-the-box resource. We currently have a process whereby we reconcile at this level via a manual process, but would prefer an Oracle solution.

Of note - I am aware of the data validation feature that is available at present. This request is for an improved/more granular solution.

  • Thank you for raising idea labs request for your requirement regarding detailed reconciliation between ERP source data and FDI data post-refresh.

At present, Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) does not deliver an out-of-the-box (OOTB)base-level member reconciliation feature between ERP and FDI source models. The FDI pipelines are designed to ensure high-fidelity replication and transformation of ERP data into analytical models, with built-in ingestion audits at the pipeline level.

To address such needs, you may consider using extensibility framework in FDI using data flows.

Create Data Flows or Custom Subject Areas within FDI to directly compare data in ERP tables against FDI tables. These flows can be scheduled to refresh after each incremental run, ensuring reconciliation is timely and automated. DV reports can be created for visibility to the end users.

Additionally for future, we may consider adding this capability for data validation feature, further aiming to minimize customer customizations in this area.

We value your inputs and thank you for your partnership with Oracle.

Hi @Sushil Dhoot-Oracle thank you for this update. We currently have a custom solution for this, and will look into the Data Flows option. Improved data validation is always helpful, and I appreciate your consideration of this idea.
