PROA Institute scales student job matches by 60X using OCI Generative AI

The nonprofit organization is dedicated to helping Brazilian youth secure their first job. PROA’s prior job placement solution matched a candidate’s job profile, including location, salary, and skills, with a hiring company. But this manual process required 30 minutes just to build a dossier report. After the company moved to OCI Generative AI, powered by Meta’s open-source Llama Large Language Model (LLM), the time to produce a dossier dropped to just 5 minutes while accuracy improved. This allowed PROA staff to spend more time on career counseling, recruiting employers, and fundraising to achieve its mission. Additionally, OCI’s scalability allowed the employment institute to increase enrollment 60X to 35,000 a year. It matched more than 1,000 positions per month without any impact to IT resources or costs.
