Useful workbook. Seems it complements other usage tracking dashboards.

  • There has been multiple requests to make this available on OAC / OAS too. Feedback taken and we will try to work it out. However, on OAC/OAS there will be dependency on either SA or dataset / connection which will be a pre-req in that case. However, for now - thank you for the feedback and we will work out on the same.

    Hi @Anitha Ramarao-Oracle ,

Thanks for considering same for OAC/OAS, we are expecting below tracking informations ,is that possible to show in the reporting side of Usage Tracking.

    1. User who modified the catalog based on report/dashboard wise.
    2. User whose session executed and got cancelled beyond the limit which is missed to capture in session logs or even not generated at some times?
    3. User who updated the catalog permissions with admin access?
    4. Dashboard or DV report/Dataset frequently refreshed and exported in csv/xls/any formats most of the times in the past 3 months?

Do we have any KPI's or metrics to derive above informations? Any sample DV that you can share would be more helpful.

    Regards,

    Senthil

  • Senthil, your ask more takes closer to OCI logging/Auditing when enabled on an OAC instance helps get many such information. Note, most of your above asks can be got from there and usage tracking can help only a little for the above asks.

Srini has come up with an excellent blog on this which I am sure will be helpful for you. Please do check this
